Staying relevant is a thing which every artist faces. No matter how much art you have, you have to go with the times. Because if you are doing art as a hobby, then it doesn't matter. You do it for yourself, for a few people, and it is for your own happiness. And of course, you still do that when you do it professionally. However, when you do it professionally, you need to make sure that you go with the times, else you will be left behind and you might not earn the money, fame, or the numbers you are chasing, or the growth which you want in your art.
So Internet is a rapidly evolving thing. In essence, Internet is nothing, just computers connected over the lines and the information is being passed. That is the whole Internet.
However, because of the mass advent of the population and the things people do with interactions, it is rapidly evolving. I remember from the statics HTML sites to the advanced version of AI doing all the coding for you. So where does your art stand?
One way to stay relevant is how you pose your art. The simple thing to do is always show the human element in your art, because that's something the AI does not have. AI is AI. It can have the perfect art in the eyes of the viewers, but the human element will always amaze.
If somehow you can ingest a human element in your art, it will stay relevant in the age of Internet and also AI. Another thing to stay relevant in the Internet era is to adopt all the things. If you are a person who is always opposing things, for example, when the AI came, it became big so fast that it threatened people, because you can no longer write mediocre programs and call yourself an artist because the AI could easily do that job.
So what you are left with is either to do great art, which AI can't yet replicate, or do some kind of thing only you can do, and people can associate it with you, and therefore, you will be chosen over AI.
The thing is, you have to work in tandem with the internet tools, the AI right now, because if you just keep on opposing things, you will land up as someone who is not interested in the growth of the internet, and your art has been left behind.
So take all the tools you have, because everyone else has also the same tools. Ingest those tools into your art. For example, if you're writing a book, you can try to make the base cover of your book from AI, and then have someone talented modify it to have your unique look.
You can even ask the AI to write first draft about a thought for the book, and see what is a first draft, and then improve it by giving the second layer, third layer, and fourth layer of human thinking. Or maybe you do something totally unique. You do interviews, and the nuggets are from the expert, but to conduct those interviews, you need some tools, and there you can use AIs for summaries, extracting important values, referencing, and so on and so forth.
So the simplest way to stay relevant in the age of internet and now AI, because it is one and the same thing now. You just adopt everything and keep your human element intact. That's it.
