Writing is a phenomenal thing which happened to me. When I started my journey on the Internet, I was confused and started my writing journey with poems. The topic was varied and something every youngster would jump upon - love, marriage and the relationship status.
My topics kept going wherever I wanted and I didn't care. My goal was to write and make my writings a thing on the Internet. Maybe people would read or I would share them. It was a place for my thinking and ideas to flourish. So, I did that I went about writing.
The topics I wrote about kept changing over the years - from relationships to money to credit card to startup to all sorts of things. Although I wasn't an expert in any of them, I had some experience and I believed that my thought carried weight to be shared. And it did, I got comments, shares and people found my writing meaningful. Even if they didn't, writing is like therapy, it makes you feel like a better person and eventually makes you one.
Hence, I recommend you write online on the Internet. Start your blog, you don't need to invest money, there are many free blogging software. Of course, if you want to shell some money - go ahead, it gives a sense of ownership.
Regardless, I want you to not fear about the writing format or the topic. You can even transition from one to another, after all, it's your blog and you decide how you want to write about it. Sure, there will be people giving you lots of advice like I am giving you. However, you decide for yourself at the end of the day.
You do you - you can care about things like algorithm, discovery, search engines and so on. Or you can't. It's upto you and you can decide how much more or less you want to care about.
You might be feeling - can a certain format is better than others? The answer is simple, no matter your topic, you can write about in any format - blog, video, infographics and even poem.
However, I would advise, you club things together so people can see and come back for that thing. An angle which is uniquely yours.
For example, my topic on this blog is how to internet? It's a vast topic, I write about it here, have a podcast, it's in video format. And I can write it in form of poem too. Don't believe me, here it is as an example:

Whenever I hear the clicking, my eyes go looking,
Is she typing, or a connection is being forged by lying,
You can be growing, slowing and flying,

It's not a place for shortcuts or gimmick or a trick,

Do hardwork like offline, and your internet journey will succeed and seem like a luck.
Things you can do on the Internet like writing,
dancing, coding, vibing, connecting, singing,
videoing, skit making, trying, failing and waiting,
Eventually you find your rhythm and end up winning.
Go make your portfolio on the Internet
Or make a silly dance video for the gram,
Don't bother if things doesn't traction or fall flat
You do it for yourself and that way you always slam.
Your blog, your writing, your topics and your angles. So don't fear and start your journey. The benefits of writing is profound. My writings have found audience in millions of readers across blogs and thousands of people across my books. I like it when I see a comment or a review about my writing, knowledge that they found it useful and want to come back to it, share it and are happy that such a thing exist.
Also, you don't have to perfect. This is a misconception, you need to be desired and that's it. Not everyone's first language is English and you don't have to pretend. Of course, there is bias in the Internet too. But there are enough people with no bias and internet is so large that you can pass.
